Belgian skating star who became European champion in Kaunas returns to Lithuania

Belgian figure skating star Loena Hendrickx is returning to Kaunas. On March 13, she will perform at Elements 2: Pasadoblis, the country’s biggest ice show, held at Žalgirio Arena.

For Hendrickx, this will be a special return to Kaunas — the city where, in 2024, she became European champion and experienced one of the brightest moments of her career.

The one-night-only ice show Elements 2: Pasadoblis will be a completely new production, continuing the story of the first Elements show, which filled Žalgirio Arena with emotion last year.

The event will bring together elite figure skating, dance, live musical performances, and modern light and sound solutions, offering the audience an even stronger emotional experience.

Loena Hendrickx is one of the most decorated European skaters of the past decade. In 2024, she became European champion in Kaunas, after winning silver in Finland in 2023 and bronze in Estonia in 2022.

The Belgian skater has also reached the podium at the World Championships more than once: she became World silver medallist in France in 2022 and won bronze in Japan in 2023.

Hendrickx is a multiple-time Belgian champion and a regular competitor on the ISU Grand Prix circuit. She stands out for her powerful artistry, bold choreographic choices and technical stability.

Her return to Kaunas carries special meaning — this is where she reached the peak of her European Championship career, with the Lithuanian audience becoming an inseparable part of that victory.

Alongside the Belgian skating icon, Elements 2: Pasadoblis will also feature Lithuania’s leading ice dance team, Allison Reed and Saulius Ambrulevičius, who will make their Winter Olympic Games debut in February.

The audience will also see Olympic champion, five-time World champion and European champion Guillaume Cizeron from France, who will perform on the ice with his new partner, Laurence Fournier Beaudry.

The impressive cast will also include other major figure skating stars: Canadian World champions Deanna Stellato-Dudek and Maxime Deschamps, legendary Italian skater and multiple World and European champion Carolina Kostner, and European champion from Estonia Niina Petrõkina.
