Estonian figure skating star Niina Petrõkina, who has won the European title for two consecutive years, is returning to Lithuania. One of Europe’s leading figure skaters will perform at ELEMENTS 3: Galaxy, taking place at Žalgirio Arena in Kaunas on April 3, 2027.

This will be the 22-year-old Estonian’s second appearance in the ELEMENTS ice show. In March 2026, she took part in ELEMENTS 2: Pasodoble, and now she returns following an exceptional season in which she successfully defended her European title and made an impressive Olympic debut.

At the Milano Cortina Winter Olympic Games, Petrõkina finished seventh, becoming the highest-placed skater representing a European country in the women’s singles competition.

Successfully Defending Her Title

Petrõkina made history for Estonian figure skating in January 2025 when she won the gold medal at the European Championships in her hometown of Tallinn.

It was a historic achievement, as she became the first Estonian figure skater to win the European Championships and the first from her country to claim an International Skating Union (ISU) championship title.

At the 2026 European Championships in Sheffield, Petrõkina successfully defended her title in convincing fashion. She won both the short programme and the free skate, achieving a new personal best with a combined score of 216.14 points.

An Impressive Olympic Debut

Just one month later, Petrõkina faced an even greater challenge: the first Olympic Games of her career.

At the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, the Estonian skater stood in tenth place after the short programme but delivered one of the strongest performances of the evening in the free skate.

Successfully completing seven triple jumps, she earned 141.19 points for her free skate, the sixth-highest score among all competitors. With a combined total of 210.82 points, Petrõkina climbed to seventh place overall.

Her result placed her ahead of every other skater representing a European country. The Estonian concluded her successful season at the World Championships in Prague, where she also finished seventh.

New Season, New Programmes

Following the successful conclusion of the Olympic season, Petrõkina chose a new musical direction for the 2026–2027 competitive season.

Her short programme features music by Spanish singer Rosalía, while her free skate is performed to music from the soundtrack of the popular television series Game of Thrones.

The new repertoire allows the Estonian skater to further showcase her distinctive skating style, musicality and artistic expression, qualities that are important not only in competition but also in large-scale ice shows.

Returning to ELEMENTS

Lithuanian audiences already had the opportunity to see Petrõkina in March 2026, when she performed at ELEMENTS 2: Pasodoble at Žalgirio Arena in Kaunas.

In the third edition of the show, the Estonian will join an already announced cast of world-class figure skating stars, including Olympic, World and European champions Laurence Fournier Beaudry and Guillaume Cizeron, Lithuania’s leading ice dance team Allison Reed and Saulius Ambrulevičius, Olympic bronze medalist Matteo Rizzo, and other outstanding athletes representing different figure skating disciplines.

The third edition of ELEMENTS will return to Lithuania’s largest arena with an entirely new theme: Galaxy. World-class figure skating will be combined with live music, lighting, video projections, special effects and large-scale stage and technical production.

Having attracted thousands of spectators across its first two editions, the ice show will present a new arena spectacle in 2027, featuring Olympic, World and European champions and medalists, renowned musical performers and artists from other performing arts disciplines.
